I had mixed feelings about my stay at Jongno Bando Hotel. The location was fantastic, with quick access to Jongkak metro and key attractions. However, the extremely small and dated rooms really brought the experience down. 🤔

Rooms
5.0
My room was very small and felt quite old. It was hard to move around with luggage, and the shower had poor water pressure.
Service
7.0
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, though there was a language barrier. They communicated well in Mandarin, which was a plus.
Location
9.0
The location is very nice, just 3 minutes from the metro and close to major attractions like Myeongdong and the palace.
Dining

Breakfast was basic but okay considering the room rate—toast, hard-boiled eggs, and juice. It met my expectations for a budget hotel.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were decent with free coffee and distilled water available all day. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch, but the furnishings were very worn.

I had a somewhat mixed experience at Jongno Bando Hotel. The location was fantastic, just a few minutes from the subway and close to many attractions, but the room was quite small and dated. While I appreciated the free breakfast and amenities, the overall comfort left something to be desired.

The rooms were extremely small and dated, making it hard to fit my luggage comfortably. There was notable wear like peeling wallpaper and a lacking water pressure in the shower, which was frustrating.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, even though they had limited English. They managed to assist me well in Mandarin, making communication smooth.
Location

The hotel's location was a major highlight. It was a quick 3-minute walk to Jongkak metro station and a 15-minute stroll to Myeongdong, making it incredibly convenient.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast consisted of simple items like toast and hard-boiled eggs, which was decent given the low cost of the stay. Nothing fancy, but it sufficed.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were quite generous for the price, including free coffee and water all day, as well as a flat-screen TV. However, the overall facilities felt worn and overdue for an update.
